The opening of the exhibition in Hobart was a huge success. There were about 150 people there, which is pretty impressive.
The work which won the major prize was this one by Susan McArthur
'Engagement' by Susan McArthur of Burnie |
The Premier came in and chose her favourite, which is this lovely piece:
'Just by Reaching Out' by Pam Thorne also of Burnie |
I feel privileged to have been part of the whole process.
In the meantime, there has been cooking of home grown produce and an intrigue in the workplace. More later.....

I am so glad that you had deservedly wonderful weeks. The pieces you posted today are both incredibily powerful. I tend towards the first, but can see the charm of the second. Thank you for showing them to us.
What home produce has gone into your cauldron?
The whole show is really impressive EC.
As for the cooking, my lime tree has finally come good so I cooked up a batch of lime and ginger cordial. Yum. (Didn't grow the ginger.)
Ooh, I really like the winner. Well done you!
